ACLU Supports Freedom of Speech
The Oregon chapter publicly supports the Fifth Amendment permitting dentists to tell their patients the truth about the health hazards of mercury toxicity.

National Association for the Advancement of Colored People
The NAACP adopted the Mercury Dental Fillings bill at the 2002 National Convention in Houston. Highlights of the resolution require disclosure to all dental patients that mercury is highly toxic, and that dental insurance plans and Medicaid provide coverage for alternatives to mercury fillings.

National Caucus of Black Legislators
The NBCSL passed a Resolution in November, 2001, endorsing mercury health warnings, particularized concern for the health effects on children pregnant women and nursing mothers, and choice in Medicaid and insurance plans.
